CERT Exercise - 9/25/08

The scenario of the 9/25 exercise was that a chlorine tanker had overturned on the Ohio Turnpike and CERT personnel were deployed to inform the residents in the affected area of the need to evacuate.  Lieutenant Clark Chilcott of the North Royalton Police Department was the designated Incident Commander.  The CERT members met at the Police Department, issued radios, vests, and helmets, and were deployed in teams of three, by school bus.  The residents were notified in advance by reverse 911 calls.  The CERT members checked whether the calls had been received, and distributed CERT literature.
